WonderScope
XR Device for Museum Visiting
ID KAISTSmartphones have become an essential tool for museums, but they can potentially distract visitors from the exhibit, crippling the hands-on experience. We present WonderScope, a smartphone-based peripheral device enabling near-surface interactions with exhibits. It provides audio-haptic feedback along with information space that reflects its location and orientation so that visitors can feel as if they are seeing through the exhibit. It narrows the distance between the visitors and the exhibits, promoting the visitors’ exploratory behaviors. It has excellent adaptability since it can be equipped with various form factors suitable for the theme
