The MELSEC iQ-R series devices perform automated control of machinery. The case was shaped to be wider in front for a larger display and greater visibility. Access to controls has also been improved by a vertically opening cover that does not block the hands. The series has been developed from a Universal Design perspective to be readily usable not just by highly skilled technicians, but also with consideration for less experienced workers and users in other countries.
