This experience led to the IDS3010 Interferometer for contactless control and optimization of production processes in industry. Vibrations, aberrations and surface imperfections can be detected up to a resolution of 1 picometer (10-12 m) at a distance beyond 5 m. At the same time, the system is far less expensive than existing units. The precision had to be visible: the passive cooling is used as artful element of design, the extremely compact size fits in any industrial environment, and the artwork underlines the design addicted brand identity.
