Assistant Glasses Set

Assistance device

Konyang University

Assistant Glasses Set was designed to help the deaf in daily life by visualizing sounds and risk factors on a display and indicating sound direction by vibration. Many deaf people face difficulties when sound comprehension is required, for example, when a visitor knocks, an alarm rings or when water boils. Assistant Glasses Set visualizes these sounds, indicating what the sound signifies, and the sound direction so that the user can easily process auditory information. In addition, Assistant Glasses Set notices sounds on the street that might mean the user is at risk, such as automobile horns, to ensure the user’s safety.

iF Gold Statement

The Assistant Glass Set concept won us over by translating and visualizing how hard of hearing people perceive the world. A technically precise solution, the smart glasses display sensory stimuli that a hard of hearing person might miss. This entry represents a significant improvement in perception and safety for affected individuals. Finally, the sensory technology is integrated into a neutral eyeglass frame, making the device imperceptible to others.
