HEI, Champ Solar Light
Champ is a solar street light with a tubular collector. So the photocells are exposed to the light in a highly efficient way. The tube is placed on top of the LED lightpoint and collects energy throughout the day. At night (outshone by the light of the LEDs) the now inactive collector is rendered almost invisible. So the design not only embodies sustainability, but uses high tech to cut the structure to the core. Champ upgrades any public space, without hiding its technology.
